We’ve designed a tailor-made program in honor of the exceptional composer who, having become deaf in his early thirties, enjoyed a long and extremely rich career despite his deafness. We therefore offer you a program that allows you to perce(voir) percussion in a different way. We won’t tell you more – it’s a surprise.

Created by Abenaki storyteller and librettist Nicole O’Bomsawin and composer Alejandra Odgers, Nanatasis takes us on a journey through three traditional Abenaki legends. Commissioned by Musique 3 Femmes, in co-production with Sixtrum and directed by Métis director and set designer Troy Hourie, eleven musicians and four puppeteers take us into a magical, colorful world.
To round off the Montreal/New Music Festival in style, the musical ensembles Instruments of Happiness – 100 electric guitars, Sixtrum, Orchestre symphonique des jeunes de la Montérégie and Orchestre symphonique des jeunes du West Island join forces for the creation of this surround-sound work, La grande accélération: Symphonie no 12, by composer and celebrated guitarist Tim Brady.
Presented by the Quebec Chapter of the Percussive Arts Society in collaboration with CEGEP Drummondville. With guests John Riley, François Papirer and Mélissa Labbé, and with the participation of Jean-Luc Bouchard, Alexandre Lavoie, Gina Ryan, SIXTRUM Percussion and the Ensemble de percussion Cegep de Drummondville.
I Am Vertical is an ambitious artistic collaboration between percussion ensemble Sixtrum and Cordâme, inspired by the intense, evocative poetry of Sylvia Plath.
