I Am Vertical is an ambitious artistic collaboration between percussion ensemble Sixtrum and Cordâme, inspired by the intense, evocative poetry of Sylvia Plath. This unique performance fuses vibrant percussion and haunting strings, creating a musical encounter where chamber jazz and contemporary music blend harmoniously. Plath’s texts, imbued with depth and sensitivity, come to life through the compositions of double bassist Jean Félix Mailloux, which explore human emotions in all their complexity.
