Olivier Tremblay-Noël

Percussionist, multi-instrumentalist and adept of new music in all its forms, Olivier Tremblay-Noël is an active musician on the Quebecois music scene. His personality and his playing style are coloured by the myriad influences he has experienced throughout his training and career thus far, ranging from orchestral music, to contemporary, Hindustani, jazz and rock. He obtained a Bachelor of Music from the Conservatoire de Musique de Rimouski and a Masters of Music from the Schulich School of Music of McGill University.  In addition to SIXTRUM, Tremblay-Noël is a member of percussion trio Bascaille – a multidisciplinary project linking the concept of artisanal instruments and music creation.
