Sixtrum percussion takes young spectators on an exploration of its Archipelago of a thousand sounds. Three percussionists stop on each of these imaginary islands to discover music that is by turns intimate and exuberant, sailing from one to the other on musical themes inspired by water and wind.
The Société de Musique Contemporaine du Québec is celebrating the 10th edition of its Festival Montréal / Nouvelles Musiques – Nouvelles Frontières with a series of concerts and has invited us to play pieces composed by György Ligeti, Ana Sokolović, Serge Garant and Gilles Tremblay.
Two ensembles = ten percussionists = two hundred sticks. Passion Percussion brings together the two professional ensembles from Montreal in a unique program that allows you to discover all the facets of their almost unlimited sound universe: the creative energy that supports these passionate percussionists knows no limits! Seven works are on the program of this concert which mixes Quebec creation and international repertoire.
